Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 15, 2026 · Last updated: July 15, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how J & E LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you use the Pre-CRNA Advisor website at precrnaadvisor.com and related features (the "Service"). It is part of our Terms of Service. By using the Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us:

  • Account information — your name, email address, and a hashed password. We do not store your password in plain text.
  • Advisor inputs — self-reported academic and experience information you enter to get suggestions, such as GPA, ICU/critical-care experience, certifications, and target programs. These are user-supplied stats, not medical records. Please do not enter medical records or others' personal information.
  • Product activity you create — favorited programs, saved views, and preferences.
  • Communications — messages you send us (for example, support emails).

Information collected automatically:

  • Usage and device data — how you interact with the Service, pages viewed, features used, approximate location derived from IP address, browser and device type, and similar log data.
  • Cookies and analytics — see Section 5.

Information from third parties:

  • Payment/billing metadata — when you subscribe, Stripe processes your payment. We never receive or store your full card number. We receive limited billing metadata such as the last four digits, card brand, billing postal code, subscription status, and transaction identifiers.

2. How we use information

We use personal information to: create and manage your account and authenticate you; provide the Service (generate advisor suggestions from your inputs, run searches, save favorites and views, and deliver lesson content); process your subscription and payments via Stripe and prevent fraud and abuse (including enforcing rate limits and quotas); send transactional email (for example, account, billing, and security notices); respond to your support requests; measure and improve the Service using analytics; maintain security, debug, and protect the Service and our users; and comply with law and enforce our Terms.

3. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it only as described here:

  • Service providers (sub-processors) who process data on our behalf under contract, limited to what they need: Stripe, Inc. (payment processing and subscription billing); Google LLC (Google Analytics 4) (website/product analytics, as our processor); our email provider (sending transactional email); and Railway (application hosting and infrastructure, United States).
  • Legal and safety — when required by law, to respond to lawful requests, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of the Company, our users, or others.
  • Business transfers — if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy.
  • With your direction — when you ask us to share information.

4. Where we store data; international users

We are based in the United States and store and process data in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the U.S., you understand your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S., where privacy laws may differ from those in your location.

5. Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, secure the Service, and understand usage.

  • Essential cookies — needed for login/sessions and security.
  • Analytics cookies — we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the Service is used. It sets cookies and collects usage data as a processor on our behalf.

You can control cookies through your browser settings; blocking some cookies may break parts of the Service.

6. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access the personal information we hold about you; correct inaccurate information; delete your information; port a copy of certain information; opt out of certain uses (such as targeted advertising or any "sale"/"sharing," if applicable); and be free from discrimination for exercising your rights.

How to exercise rights. Email us at precrnaadvisor@gmail.com. We will verify your request and respond within the time required by law. You may use an authorized agent where the law allows. You can also update your account information in your settings, and you can delete your account from your account settings or by emailing us.

7. Data retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes in this Policy: account and product data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for backups, security, and legal compliance; advisor inputs and product activity while your account is active, unless you delete them earlier; billing records as long as required for tax, accounting, and legal purposes; and analytics data per our analytics configuration and provider defaults. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.

8. Children's privacy

The Service is intended for adults preparing for graduate nurse-anesthesia programs and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 where a higher age applies). If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us at precrnaadvisor@gmail.com and we will delete it.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect personal information — for example, hashing passwords, encrypting data in transit, restricting access, and relying on reputable providers (Stripe for payments, Railway for hosting). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Third-party links

The Service may link to third-party websites (for example, program or university pages). We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Review their policies before providing information.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and provide reasonable notice (for example, by email or an in-product notice) before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect means you accept the updated Policy.
